The Transaction Support Centre was selected as one of five projects to receive the Cities Alliance 2019 Innovation Programme funding of USD 50,000.
71point4 and CAHF are extremely excited to be selected out of 292 proposals to receive this funding and would like to thank the Cities Alliance and Omidyar Network for their support. The Cities Alliance 2019 Innovation Programme focuses on community-level organisations working on innovative ways to improve secure land tenure and housing rights in Africa Cities. In this regard, the TSC’s hand-on, action-learning approach to helping household’s undertake formal residential property market transactions and resolve related housing-issues meant that the project fit the brief perfectly. The funding will be used to strengthen the centre’s ongoing operations as well as to document the TSC model with the goal of developing a plan and budget to expand such centres to other metropolitan areas.
