CAHF and 71point4 recently co-hosted a seminar on entry-level housing markets in South Africa and lessons from the Transaction Support Centre, the pilot action-learning research initiative established in Khayelitsha in July 2018 to support formal secondary (resale) transactions of low-value properties.The event was hosted in Johannesburg and Cape Town on the 16th and 17th of April respectively and attracted a great turn out from a broad group of stakeholders including policy makers, private sector developers, mortgage providers, conveyancers, researchers and academics, as well as local community members from Khayelitsha.
